Audience Feedback

Although I was suitably happy with my music video, I knew there were a few flaws within it and the best way to be able to find out those flaws is by Getting through some audience feedback to tell me where i need to improve the music video.

Here are a few screenshots of that audience feedback and after each of them I will say what I did to improve the music video. I found out that the most effective way of gaining audience feedback was to get it through text messaging as it is easier for the person who i asked for feedback from to respond also because of web2.0 it has made it a lot easier to communicate with people who are far away and doing different activities.

After reading through this comment I was able to tell that what I needed to do was re edit some of the shots in my music video so that the lip syncing was in time with the footage which didn't take long and improved my video massively as the video now looks more professional and follows the conventions more accurately

This comment comes from a member of my target audience and this is important as they are the people who my product is aimed at, from this i learn that there is no need to re shoot as the shots are all varied and look good. However this person has been unable to point out the lip syncing flaw which suggests why it is good to get a variation of people to give feedback on my product, as one person might pick up on something that someone else has not.

What I can learn from this comment is that they think that my video is edited to the beat well and the title works well and fits in with the song, however this person picks up on some lighting issues which can be easily changed in post, and they also think that some of the shots are over used, so maybe the narrative isn't as clear as i would hop it to be so i am going to have to take a look at that and maybe change some of it if it is not too late.

from this feedback I can tell that this person has also pointed out the lip syncing being out of sync with the video, which someone else had pointed out so I will need to fix that for definite. Also I can learn that this person likes the mise-en-scene and think that the location is a suitable place for the song to be shown in, which to me suggests that they understand the narrative of the video.

Summary

to summarize on my audience feedback i think that it has a significant role in helping my products to develop more and has helped me to notice some of the flaws in my video that i hadn't noticed before, for example it has helped me change a few shot types and has made me tighten up the editing so the video flows better and sticks to the conventions of an Indie Rock music video. Overall I think that the audience feedback has been extremely effective in helping me to locate flaws and make the video more entertaining and effective.
